Encampment FAQ’s:

**Please note that these FAQ’s are subject to change**

Do I really need to go to encampment?
Yes for three reasons: 1) You have to have an encampment to earn your Mitchell Award. 2) If you plan on doing ANY NCSA activities, you have to have had an encampment. 3) If you want to be on encampment staff, you have to have been to an encampment already.
When filling out the CAP forms, what is our Charter Number? SWR-AR-115 or AR115
What is Cadet Encampment Assistance Program (CEAP)?
Cadet Encampment Assistance Program:  Thanks to Air Force support, CAP has special funding available to cover encampment fees and uniforms with an emphasis on serving economically disadvantaged cadets.  An inability to afford encampment will not hold back cadets who want to participate in encampment. Assistance is available to cadets and is targeted towards low-income families and first time cadets
All First time cadet students are highly encouraged to apply for the Cadet Encampment Assistance Program (CEAP)
How do I apply for CEAP?
Visit eServices, open the “Cadet Encampment Assistance Program” module, and follow the on-screen instructions to apply for CEAP. However, you will also need to apply for encampment itself, if you haven’t already. Click here for a more detailed walk-through of the application process.
What is the deadline to request CEAP?

1 Mar 2018 – CEAP applications open for spring and summer encampments.
10 May 18 – (Approximately) CEAP application window closes

Applications close 30 days before the start of encampment. Assistance is prioritized by need, first-timer status, and date of application, so don’t wait to apply.

Will transportation be provided to encampment?

Yes! We are working out the details, but transportation will be provided. If you want to pick your cadet up from encampment, it is required to let Maj Rine know in advance before the start of encampment.
Do you want me to scan and send you the Encampment forms?
No, these have personal information one them and we do not want to know / have this information. Maj Rine only needs your CAPF31 at this time.
Do I need to mail the forms to anyone?
No, as long as you have registered online. They need to be signed by Maj Rine and reviewed. Once this is done, they just need to be on your person when you head to encampment. Cadets, you are responsible for this paperwork (don’t look at mom / dad / CAP to keep up with it). If you already mailed them in, you do not need to register online.
I still have questions, what can I do?
First, I ask that you send Maj Rine an e-mail letting him you need help with encampment. The best process is to e-mail at cc@nwacap.com.
